Marsden Theatre: The Big Announcement

Well, it's little anticlimactic, but last night David Marsden made a bold announcement that it would be his last Thursday night on 94.9 The Rock. He also announced that a further announcement was to be made on his show tonight at 9:15, prior to the broadcast of Team Canada's hockey game.

The Big Announcement? Everyone who's a fan can now breathe a sigh of relief. He wasn't retiring. He wasn't going to another station. He wasn't even going "indie" a la Live Earl Jive.

It's taken seven years, but the station has given Marsden Theatre the hot prime time slot of Saturday and Sunday nights from 7 to Midnight, beginning next Saturday, March 6.

I should also mention that mp3 files of the previous week's shows are available for streaming or downloading at all of the sites below.

For those of you who have no idea who this man is, he was responsible for the infamous CFNY-FM and COAST 1040 stations, amongst other ventures. As you may have noticed, I'm an old CFNY fan.
