Totally Shameless Plug #0005: b00mb0x Ten

Here I go, patting myself on the back again. But this time, I must say, it is shared amongst a group of my creative peers. It's always so nice to hear praise for one's creative musical output.

Recently, the creative forces involved with the b00mb0x site, invited their DJ contributors to compile a 20 minute mini-mix, to be included in one massive mix, in celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the site.

Needless to say, this compilation resulted in a 7-hour mega production - perfect for that next party.

For my part, I decided on a spoken word intro and a sound effects outro, being considerate of segues before and after. My choice of composition started off somewhat dark, and finished with the chillout beat of a classic Randy Crawford tune, thinking it may possibly lead into a dance track. As one fellow DJ noted, my inclusion of the "Laura Palmer Theme" from the Twin Peaks TV show made "the hairs on the back of his neck stand up". My goodness, the power of music certainly seems an emotional catalyst, does it not?
